Smith Chevy of Lowell, Indiana has the 2022 Chevy models you’re looking for. That includes the Tahoe, Colorado, Blazer, Bolt, Equinox, Traverse, and Silverado. If you haven’t heard about the new features, refreshes, and redesigns coming to the new year’s model, read on. And don’t forget to come and see us in person soon.
Not much will change with the 2022 Chevy Colorado. In fact, this model year may be the final model for the current-generation Colorado. We expect an all-new version for the 2023 model year. That said, we do believe the 2020 model will use a turbocharged 2.7 L 4-cylinder engine that makes 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft torque.
2022 Chevy Equinox
The 2022 Chevy Equinox is getting a refresh that includes improvements to the front-end highlights, grille, and both bumpers. A new trim level is also joining the family in the form of the sporty RS which will join the base level L, the LS, LT as well as the Premier. All models feature a turbo 1.5-liter engine with the option of FWD or AWD.
The 2022 Chevy Tahoe had a redesign in 2021 so not much will change with the new model which still feels new to us. The same bold front grill and cool C-shaped LED running lights will make the transition. The interior remains unchanged over the previous model year, but the cabin is already spacious so no complaints there either.
The 2022 Chevy Blazer is going to have two fewer trim levels as a result of a switch from a 193-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine to a turbo 2.0 four-cylinder engine. For exterior paint colors the addition of two new metallic hues, Nitro Yellow and Blue Glow, has us excited to see.
2022 Chevy Traverse
A well-deserved mid-cycle enhancement is coming to the 2022 Chevy Traverse. With updated front and rear fasciae, LED headlamps, and seating options, Traverse fans have plenty to get excited about. A naturally-aspirated 3.6 V6 LFY engine comes standard and safety options include Safety and driver-assist features include Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision Alert.
The 2022 Chevy Silverado is getting a mid-cycle upgrade as well. Look for the new front and rear fascia designs and an all-new cockpit featuring redesigned center stack and console, gauge cluster, and gear selector. We also love the new tech additions that include Google Automotive Services for live traffic, mapping, and location search options.
The 2022 Chevy Bolt EV will feature regenerative braking, of course, and will also feature a flat-bottom steering wheel which we think is a nice touch. The Bolt will also gain a few inches in height, width, and length. The biggest beneficiary of this will be rear-seat passengers. A full charge should take between 7 and 8 hours from a household plug.
